Kiwan and Nobar had to experience the horrors of Syrian war as children. The war lay waste to their home country. Scarred for life yet standing strong, both now live in Bremen, Germany.
The first image shows Nobar as photographed in a studio environment. The background shows his Syrian hometown Qamishli. The second one shows Kiwan embedded in the Syrian landscape. The double exposure effect, further elements and multiple layers have been composed in photoshop.

Hansen-Werke is a versatile sustainability and cultural project for alternative work and life. It offers an unconstrained space to realize projects, exchange ideas, or create networks and cooperations.
The former chalk factory Hansen-Werke is located in the municipality of Lengede. The site comprises approximately 86,000 m². The factory's production halls and warehouses are gradually being converted into workshops, event and exhibition areas.
